Historical records show that in the 12th Century, the Sarentino Valley already had villages. However, the largest municipality between the Bolzano Valley basin and the northern Isarco Valley was mostly inaccessible up until the early 20th Century. This is why a lot of the cultural heritage, customs and villages have remained almost unchanged. One exception though is the village of Sarentino which has quickly adapted to the modern age yet still existing hand in hand with old, rural traditions. Come and explore Sarentino with us
