The mines of Monteneve in the Passiria Valley are over eight hundred years old and are the highest mines found in Europe. Once a producer of essential ores such as lead and zinc, the mine in Tyrol is located at 2,355 meters and can only be reached on foot. But a trip to the former miners’ village of Masseria and the mining museum is always worth it. The refuge and the showroom are open from June 15 to September 30
