In the western Dolomites there‘s a small emerald green mountain lake: Lake Carezza which reflects the majestic Catinaccio and Latemar mountain groups in its waters. The 300 m long and 130 m wide lake is fed by subterraneous springs originating from the Latemar Group. This alpine lake is not only beautiful to explore, but there are also many legends and tales about it.
