Castle Castelbello can be seen dominating the landscape above the village of Castelbell, located in the Venosta Valley. This defensive complex has been home to many owners and was constructed during the 13th Century. Today, the autonomous province of Bolzano retains ownership of the castle and is managed by a board of trustees which sees to the organisation of events, exhibits, concerts and the cultural well-being of the castle. The castle is open from April until October, and guided tours are available from July until September
