Castel Velturno, located in the village of Velturno in the Isarco valley, is a remarkable architectural monument. The prince bishop of Bressanone commissioned the castle to be built in 1580 AD to be used as a summer home. What makes this monument so unique is not so much the architecture but rather the furnishings. Castel Velturno is one of the best-preserved Renaissance buildings in the entire Alps
