The Rio delle Foglie Gorge between Aldino and Redagno in the south of South Tyrol offers an insight into the geological history of the Dolomites and into life on earth 250 million years ago. 15,000 years ago, the Rio delle Foglie dug its way through the rocks, revealing the various layers of rock, fossils and traces of living creatures that lived here millions of years ago. The Rio delle Foglie rises on the 2,316 m high Corno Bianco. From here you have a view over the Canyon of South Tyrol and the surrounding mountains, including the Corno Nero
