Via a little mountain road, taking its course from Varna and by taking the right after a few km, you reach the higher located mountain hamlet of Spelonca, situated at 1,295 m and boasting approx. 100 inhabitants only.

This is a fabulous place for a getaway on hot summer day, as the climate is cooler in higher locations. From Spelonca you start a series of hikes such as to the Scheibenberg or Mt. Punta Quaira, with the Zirmai Mountain Hut as resting point during the hike.

Our tip: a tour to the viewpoint "Piana di Spelonca", also known as "Spilucker Platte" - furthermore the small hamlet of Spelonca offers several resting points.
