Prati is the chief village of the municipality of Vizze and is part of the municipality since the merging of Prati and Vizze in 1931 and is located at 948 m asl at the valley entrance.
Between the 15th and the 18th century, mining had an important role to play for the population, also a smelter was run in Prati.
Part of the sights of Prati are the S. Croce parish church that has been first mentioned in 1337, as well as the octangular chapel located 1 km from the village.
