Ahnerberg and Froellerberg are two mountain hamlets belonging to Rodengo. They can be reached via San Paolo or Villa, via a narrow mountain road. These hamlets, composed of scattered settlements, extend in elevated location and snuggle into the slopes above the main village. Respectively impressive is also the view you can enjoy from up there.
Worth noticing is the chapel at Ahnerberg, which was constructed in 1867, boasting a late Baroque altar, as well as the Putzer chapel, decorated with an altarpiece, illustrating the Holy Family, which is a piece of art by Christian Renzler.
From Ahnerberg and Froellerberg, the Alpe di Siusi is only a stone’s throw away. The Alpe di Rodengo alpine pasture is a place that is worth to be visited in every season, in winter it also offers a cross-country trail. Of course there are also several taverns, transforming your winter hike or summer walk also a culinary delight.
