At Stanghe, the Val Racines branches off westbound and stretches via Pratone and Colle to Racines di Dentro and the hamlet of Vallettina. A great skiing area is located almost in the middle of the valley, it is called Racines-Giovo and offers 25 km of perfectly groomed ski runs. There is by the way also a toboggan run from the mountain station down into the valley. Cross-country skiers can exercise on the 40 km of ski trails, comprising the high-altitude ski trail at the Monte Plato.

Moreover the Val Racines provides ideal terrain for ski tours, such as to the Monte Altacroce or the Monte Fumaiolo, there is a summit for every taste. Also in summer Racines is able to satisfy your needs, hikers find a series of hiking destination in the valley, such as the Malga Wumblsalm or the Rif. Fleckner as well as the Klamm Alm, which can be reached from Vallettina at the head of the valley.
