Not only due to its unique location, the sun-drenched apple high plateau of Naz-Sciaves attracts visitors from all over
A hearty welcome to Naz Sciaves, located on a sun-drenched low mountain range terrace. With its five component localities of Naz, Sciaves, Rasa, Fiumes and Aica, the municipality is located above the crossing of the Val Pusteria and the Valle Isarco.
Naz Sciaves is known beyond borders as apple growing area. Beside varieties of apples such as the Golden Delicious and Jonathan, also famous grapevines such as the Mueller Thurgau and the Sylvaner grapes flourish right in this place.
A royal atmosphere, however, prevails during the Apple Weeks, at the end of which every year the apple queen is crowned. Further events that you absolutely don't have to miss are the "Royal Festival" and the "Blossom Festival", both taking place in spring.
In winter, however, three ski resorts are within easy reach, that is to say Gitschberg, Jochtal and the Plose, offering wide slopes for all the family members.
