Ascending from Millan, you reach Sant'Andrea, another district of Bressanone, at almost 1,000 metres above sea level. The village, encompassing the hamlets of Sant'Andrea village, Sant'Andrea in Monte, Cornale, Plabach, San Leonardo, Monte Ruzzo, Meluno, and Cleran, stretches across the slopes of the Plose. Here, surrounded by nature, you'll find the starting point not only for the mountain road to the Passo delle Erbe mountain pass but also for the Plose Cable Car.

It whisks you from "Sankt Anders," as Sant'Andrea (St. Andrä) is known locally, up to Bressanone's local mountain in just a few minutes. Even from the hamlet itself, you can enjoy beautiful views of the episcopal town and the low mountain landscape of the Isarco Valley. At the top, more highlights await: The WoodyWalk and the Lorggen Circular Trail theme paths, as well as the mountain bike trails in the Bressanone Bike Park, are popular destinations.

Around the mountain station, you'll find places to eat and drink, and giant wooden letters to climb on. For a fast-paced alternative to the descent, try the mountain carts - fun for all ages. In winter, the Plose entices visitors with 42 kilometres of slopes, sunshine, and views of the Dolomites.

The skiing area boasts South Tyrol's longest valley descent and one of the region's longest toboggan runs, the Rudi Run. The Plosebob, a toboggan run on rails, is also open in winter. Down in the village, tennis courts, a bowling alley, and an ice-skating rink complete the range of activities.
