From Molini di Tures, just before Campo Tures, a side valley branches off that extends into the heart of the Zillertal Alps. The Valle di Selva dei Molini consists of three villages, several mills and sawmills and rushing mountain streams. The topic of water not only characterises the landscape, but the entire valley. This includes the Selva dei Molini Lake on the outskirts of the village as well as Lake Neves in the middle of the mountains, two reservoirs for electricity generation.
The valley is known for its interesting trails. One of them, the Selva dei Molini Pasture Trail, leads directly into the untouched beauty of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park. "The Power of Water", on the other hand, combines a number of trails for explorers, including the leisurely circular trail around the Selva dei Molini Reservoir and the "Water and Wheel" trail in Selva di Dentro, which brings you closer to the world of mills. The hike through the Lappago Gorge is more demanding, but well secured, and then ends at the Museum "The Magic of Water".
In the back part of the Valle di Selva dei Molini (Mühlwalder Tal), called the Lappago Valley (Lappachtal), you go straight into the mountains. There you will find Lake Neves, a reservoir and an ideal starting point for hiking along the Neves High Route and a destination for ski tourers in winter. The winter sports on offer also include sledging, and the Weizgruber Mountain Hut on the Selva dei Molini Farm Path is a particularly nice place for it. Down in the valley, the Tamarix Family Park invites children to an adventure on slide plates and tubing rings.
