It seems to belong to the neighbouring Riscone, but it is still part of San Lorenzo, although a little distant: We are talking about Santo Stefano at the foot of the legendary Plan de Corones Skiing Area. Once a dreamy farming village, today Santo Stefano is very well developed and offers numerous accommodation facilities. Between the Hurtmüllermoos Biotope and the only farm on the flank of the Plan de Corones, which still belongs to San Lorenzo, houses are scattered in the meadows. The Church of St. Stephen and St. Vitus and the fire brigade hall stand in the middle.

The mentioned farm is called Haidenberg and is known far and wide as an excursion destination. In fact, it is a whole alpine village that awaits you up there at 1,350 m a.s.l. Around Haidenberg, with view on the opposite slopes of the Val Pusteria to the mighty mountain peaks behind, there are hiking trails and routes to explore Mt. Plan de Corones by MTB. In winter, Haidenberg becomes an alpine disco with a following sledge run on one of the toboggan runs in the Val Pusteria.

The surrounding area consists of the main village of San Lorenzo with its Roman-era Mansio Sebatum Museum, the small town of Brunico with its enjoyment and shopping opportunities to the north-east of Santo Stefano (Stefansdorf), and the neighbouring village of Riscone, where the Plan de Corones valley station is located. The indoor swimming pool Cron4, the Val Pusteria Golf Club and the riding stable in the sports zone of Reiperting are within walking distance. If you take the cable car up to Mt. Plan de Corones, there are hiking paths, ski slopes and the Herrnsteig, "the legend" among the MTB trails in the Alps. In between, you can visit restaurants and museums.
