The Ried Cable Car to Mt. Plan de Corones is directly connected to the modern station of the Val Pusteria Railway in Perca

From Brunico, the road leads slightly uphill, and in a few minutes you reach a small village on the plateau in the east of the Brunico valley basin. It is the main village of the municipality of Perca, Perca village. The houses, the parish, the shops and the school all gather here in the centre, which also includes the late Gothic St. Cassian Church. At the entrance to Perca village (Percha Dorf), the mountain road branches off and takes you to Vila di Sopra and to the Earth Pyramids in Plata. The main road, which leads further into the Upper Val Pusteria, seems to divide the village in two.

Perca village is, so to speak, the ideal way to stay a little outside in the countryside and choose every day between nature, culture and town life. Teodone, a district of Brunico, can be reached from Perca village in a walk through the fields. For a holiday without a car, you can also arrive by train. The modern train station makes it possible to discover the Lower Val Pusteria or the Upper Val Pusteria on the "Pusterbike" cycle path and return by train: Bikes are carried on most trains outside the rush hours. The Plan de Corones Cable Car is directly connected to the train station.

The proximity to Mt. Plan de Corones is not only interesting for active holidaymakers. Up on the summit, also two museums have been opened in recent years. One of them, the MMM Corones, is part of Reinhold Messner's museum project. The other one shows complementary mountain photography in words and pictures. In between, between MTB trails in summer and ski slopes in winter, is the newly opened panorama restaurant by star chef Norbert Niederkofler. After stations in London, Zurich, Milan, Munich, New York and the Alta Badia, he now combines regional cuisine with standing, dining and lounging at the Plan de Corones. An experience for the senses!
