Located at 1,370 m asl in Alta Val Passiria, Ulvas - a hamlet, not a component locality of Moso - can be reached from Moso in Passiria via Plata. Boasting a modest number of inhabitants, that is to say about 40, Ulvas is considered the smallest village of the municipality of Moso. Nevertheless it provides relaxation and nature for all those seeking tranquility and calm. This is also where one of the most frequented trails of the area starts, that is to say the Alta Via Meranese (south). In other words, Ulvas is an ideal starting point for hikes in the Gruppo di Tessa nature park.
If you prefer comfortable walks, we recommend you the trail to one of the Alpine pastures, such as the Malga di Ulvas. Also the Roggia di Ulvas (Waalweg) is a popular excursion destination for your family holidays.
Our tip: taste some of the delicious dishes served on the occasion of the gastronomic event "Bauernkuchl", taking place in autumn. Come and make a gastronomic survey of the local cuisine.
