Magrè on the Wine Road

Magré nestles in the heart of vineyards in the Bassa Atesina

This charming village in the south of South Tyrol extends along the right Adige riverbank. Always has this area close to the Chiusa di Salorno been connector between two cultures, as it borders to the Italian province of the Trentino. Also for this reason you can experience the feeling of the "dolce vita". By the way, the Italian influence is also reflected in the architectural style: archways, Gothic bays and stone-framed windows with low carbon steel railings make the southern influence unrecognisable.

The municipal area includes a total of 14 sq-km, 131 hectares of which are covered by vineyards and 191 by orchards. The municipality comprises the village Magré as well as the village of Favogna di Sotto, extending high above the valley. Always has the Favogna mountain, towering into the sky about 1,000 m, been a recreational area for the inhabitants of Magré, but also for those of Cortina all'Adige and Cortaccia.
