There is plenty of variety: Already the Town of Bolzano can boast a variety of languages, architectural styles and cultural and culinary influences from north and south, nestled in a protected valley basin amidst hilly vineyards. All this is complemented by the enchanting surroundings characterised by sub-Mediterranean cultivated landscape and alpine mountains.
Mountain meadows and forests, on the other hand, set the rhythm on the Salto Plateau and the Renon High Plateau and in the tradition-conscious Val Sarentino valley, which stretches north from Bolzano to the Passo Pennes mountain pass. Directly from the town, you can reach the sunny high plateau by the Renon Cable Car, where destinations such as the Earth Pyramids in summer or the Corno del Renon Ski Area in winter invite you to make tours and enjoy the fabulous landscape.
