Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol, captivates visitors with its linguistic and cultural diversity, reflected in its architecture and cuisine. Nestled in a valley basin surrounded by vineyards, this Alpine town combines northern and southern influences. Its surroundings offer a varied landscape that shifts between Mediterranean flair and Alpine peaks.
The Salto and Renon plateaus, as well as the Val Sarentino valley - steeped in tradition and stretching north from Bolzano to the Pennes Pass - offer quite a different experience. The Renon Cable Car whisks you directly from the town to the high plateau. There, attractions like the Earth Pyramids await, and, in winter, the Corno del Renon Skiing Area in the Sarentino Alps.
