Venerable buildings such as Colz Castle from the 16th century and the Our Lady Mary ad Stellam Church welcome you in La Villa, a further district of Badia. On the outskirts of the village, the Piz La Ila Cable Car starts up to the high plateau above the village, starting point of the legendary Gran Risa slope in winter, one of the many ski runs in the Alta Badia Skiing Area.
In summer, this cable car takes you to the Active Park Movimënt Piz La Ila: Alta Badia Movimënt is the name of the project that promotes physical exercise and mental balance on three high plateaus in Alta Badia. This makes the Active Park above La Villa the ideal destination for groups and families. Everyone will find what they are looking for in the various leisure areas and rest zones, and climbing walls, water games and slacklines await the younger visitors. You can also experience the area from a bird's eye view on a tandem paragliding flight.
Several international events take place here throughout the year. In December, shortly after the opening of the Alta Badia Skiing Area, the ski stars meet on the mighty Gran Risa piste for the giant slalom of Men's Alpine Ski World Cup. The end of the ski season is celebrated with the Ski Carousel Vintage Party, the festival for ski fans and nostalgics. In midsummer, the starting signal is given for the Maratona dles Dolomites, the racing bike marathon in the Dolomites.
