Vallettina is one of the districts on the northern side of the Adige that make up the municipality of Parcines. Only one mountain village on the other side of the valley still belongs to it. Among other things, Vallettina consists of several farms called Niedermair, Obermair and Fasser. Between the hamlet and the neighbouring village of Parcines is the Burgstallknott, one of South Tyrols climbing gardens with a beautiful view. Most of the routes are ascending at the beginning, then vertical.
Health and fitness are also on the agenda when walking along the Climatotherapy Path known as Terrainkurweg here. The climatic Terrain Cure is a special form of outdoor exercise therapy and Parcines has several such paths, certified by the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Trail no. 6 leads past the hamlet of Vallettina (Vertigen), very close to the Parcines Waalweg path along the old irrigation channel. Another popular hike here takes you along the Parcines Legend Trail: Always following the symbol of the prehistoric hunter, during the tour you will see the pre-Christian settlement and cult sites of Parcines with their shell stones, witch caves and devil slabs.
In autumn, the Vallettina Chestnut Circuit is a special experience: It is the Parcines Chestnut Trail that leads through colourful forests and chestnut groves. The mighty Monte Rosso, the highest elevation in the Texel Group, towers high above the villages. The nature park of the same name can be circled in several daily stages on the Merano High Route. A short excursion there is possible by taking the Tessa Cable Car in Parcines, whose ride ends at the Merano High Route.
