Easy snowshoeing tour across the snow-capped landscape at Mt. Corno Nero with a view to the Brenta Dolomites, the Lagorai mountain chain and the Dolomites

Passo Oclini (Jochgrimm), located at 2,000 m a.s.l., is the starting point of our tour with the snowshoes. It can be reached via the Val d'Ega valley and the Lavazé Pass. From the parking space of the Oclini Skiing Area (near the Hotel Schwarzhorn) we traverse the ski slope and follow the signpost "Malga Cugola - Kugelalm", leading the way into the forest at the foot of Mt. Corno Nero.
Slightly the way up, the path leads us to the Cugola Pass (Kugeljoch). The view of the Brenta Dolomites and the Valle dell'Adige valley is just amazing. Once the top of the pass is reached we can also admire the Val di Fiemme valley and the Lagorai mountain chain. The small but mighty and overall sunny Cugola Mountain Hut (Kugelalm), located at the top of the pass, is ideal for a break and for eating our packed lunch. For the way back, we follow the sign "Malga Isi" (Isi Hütte).
The hut is located at 1,850 m a.s.l. at the foot of Mt. Corno Bianco. This is also where the slopes of the Passo Oclini skiing area lead. This is only a stone's throw from our starting point. You can rent snowshoes at the ski rental in Lavazé.
