Val Gardena Skiing Area

Experience World Cup flair and family fun in the award-winning Val Gardena Ski Area on the Seceda, the Saslong and the Alpe di Siusi

The Val Gardena Ski Area offers stunning panoramic views: from Mt. Ortles in the west of South Tyrol to the Grossglockner in East Tyrol, the King of the Eastern Alps. The lifts depart from Selva Gardena to the Plan de Gralba and the Sella Pass. From Santa Cristina you can reach the Monte Pana and Mt. Col Raiser. On the edge of Ortisei, lifts take you to the Rasciesa and the Seceda.

The skiing area stretches across the Sella Group and is part of the famous Sella Ronda circuit around the Sella Massif. From Selva you can start this day trip directly. Two new slopes have been added in recent years: the black La Ria and the Pilat slope, formerly a natural descent, leading through the rocky forests from the Alpe di Siusi to Ortisei. In the Val Gardena Skiing Area, you'll also find South Tyrol's longest slope, La Longia, with a length of more than 10 kilometres and an altitude difference of 1,273 metres. Every spring, the Südtirol Gardenissima, the most demanding and longest giant slalom race in the Dolomites, starts from the Seceda alpine pasture.

The Val Gardena Skiing Area is directly connected to the Alpe di Siusi. Both areas are usually marketed together as the Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena Ski Area and are accessible with a single ski pass. This expands the offering to 181 kilometres of slopes and 79 lifts. On Europe's largest high plateau, you'll find many easy slopes, ideal for beginners. Professional childcare with flexible booking times, tailored children's courses and the Furdenan Snow Park complete the range of options for families. Snowboarders will get their fix in the Sassolungo Snow and Fun Park, the Monte Pana Snow Park, and on the Selva Fun Slope. The area is part of Dolomiti Superski.
