Reinswald Skiing Area

Discover South Tyrol’s first toboggan park at the Reinswald Ski Resort in the heart of South Tyrol, part of the Ortler Skiarena

The modern Reinswald, or San Martino, Skiing Area is located on the Pichlberg mountain in the rear Sarentino Valley, roughly 30 km from the regional capital of Bolzano. This landscape, traversed by the popular "Urlesteig" theme trail in summer, is separated from the Bolzano basin by the Sarentino Gorge, and from the Upper Valle Isarco valley by the Passo di Pennes mountain pass. The cable car departs directly from the edge of San Martino. Within the ski resort, four cosy mountain huts with South Tyrolean specialities and sun terraces invite you to stop for a break.

Reinswald is known for its wide slopes and the challenging Jochpiste, a Europa Cup downhill run with a 58% gradient. The easier descents and gentle slopes offer ideal conditions for beginners. The Val Sarentino Ski and Snowboard School, a specialised "South Tyrol Gold" certified children's ski school which also offers childcare for toddlers, will support you in making your first turns. A popular winter playground for children is also located directly at the valley station.

You can easily reach Reinswald without a car using the ski bus from Bolzano or Sarentino village. There's plenty to do off-piste as well: Two toboggan runs await you - the 4.5 km long "Reinswalder Wiesn" from the Pichlberg Hut to the valley station and the fast, 1.5 km long Sunnolm luge track. A special highlight is South Tyrol's first toboggan park in Reinswald, where children can learn the correct technique from professionals, free of charge. The ski resort is part of the Ortler Skiarena.
