Ladurns Skiing Area

Family fun on the slopes: skiing and winter hiking in the Val di Fleres, in one of the three ski areas in the Upper Valle Isarco

The ski resort in the Val di Fleres, a side valley of the Upper Valle Isarco near the Brennero Pass, presents itself as compact yet diverse. Modern lifts, including the Wastenegg Chairlift with its Pininfarina design and the new Ladurns Cable Car, provide access to around 18 kilometres of slopes. The gondola starts at the car park on the road to Fleres, 10 km from the town of Vipiteno.

With its wide, manageable slopes, the skiing area is ideal for beginners and families. Little ones will find a true snow paradise in Fichti's Kinderland, covering 5,000 sqm, and receive excellent care at the specialised children's ski school. Experienced skiers also get their money's worth, for example, on the black Ladurns IV slope or the Patrick Staudacher slope, named after the Vipiteno native and 2007 Super-G World Champion. The valley run was widened a few years ago.

Cosy mountain huts within the ski area offer refreshments. The Ladurns Hut at the mountain station entices visitors with South Tyrolean specialities and homemade blueberry schnapps. Other dining options include the Pfeiferhuisele and the Edelweiss Mountain Huts. The Alta Valle Isarco Ski Pass (valid for Monte Cavallo, Racines-Giovo, and Ladurns) and the Ortler Skiarena Pass are accepted here. The wildly romantic Val di Fleres valley is also a paradise for winter hikers and snowshoers. Cross-country ski tracks and a natural toboggan run complete the winter offerings.
