The Sellaronda, the Four Passes Tour around the majestic Sella Group - doable in a day

The Sellaronda, the famous ski circuit around the Sella Massif, connects the valleys of Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Arabba, and Val di Fassa, and therefore the regions of Trentino-South Tyrol and the Veneto. The 44-kilometre route, consisting of 23 kilometres of pistes plus lifts, can be completed in a day with good planning. Good planning primarily means an early start.
In South Tyrol, you can start the circuit in Selva and the Val Gardena Skiing Area or in Corvara in the Alta Badia Skiing Area. The Sellaronda can be skied in two directions: clockwise (orange markings) or anti-clockwise (green markings).
During the tour, you'll cross four Dolomite passes, which earned it the nickname "Four Passes Tour": Gardena Pass, Campolongo Pass, Pordoi Pass, and Sella Pass. The Campolongo Pass sits at an altitude of 1,875 metres, while the others are all above 2,100 metres. Four ski areas, four passes, rocky peaks, dense forests, and snowy landscapes await you.
Start before 10 am and cross the last pass before 3.30 pm to avoid closed lifts. This will also allow you to fully enjoy the Dolomite World Heritage Site and soak up the sun and savour local dishes in the huts along the route. A few years ago, Skiresort.de named the tour the "Best Ski Circuit".
