Pichl is the name of the village part of San Genesio, where the San Genesio outdoor pool can be found. It is located below the village centre, where the San Genesio Cable Car used to lead up from Bolzano. It has been dismantled in the meantime and a project is being planned: The cable car will be completely rebuilt in the next few years. There are also tennis courts in this sports zone.
The facility also has a small bar with a terrace next to the pools and is a popular meeting place in summer on the Salto plateau above Bolzano. The large pool with a depth of up to 4 metres is intended for swimmers, next to it is the children's pool, which is only 0.5 metres deep. The large sunbathing lawn all around is the perfect place to really relax - while reading, daydreaming, watching the clouds or enjoying an ice cream.

The San Genesio outdoor pool stays open every year from early May to the end of August, bathing season start 2025 in early May. The opening times may vary in case of bad weather.
Depending on the weather, also the start and the end of the bathing season may be extended or shortened with a short-term notice resp. postponed to another day. Please ask in advance!
