The outdoor swimming pool in Dobbiaco is an idyllic natural bathing pond surrounded by the green meadows of Upper Val Pusteria

In the Gries sports zone in Dobbiaco village, the residents of Dobbiaco and visitors to this beautiful part of South Tyrol meet at the natural swimming pond in summer. There is a 37 metre long, 16 metre wide and 2 metre deep swimmer's area as well as a non-swimmer's area and a warmer baby pool. You can also be active on the small artificial grass pitch and beach volleyball court or on the slackline above the water - so the landing is softened.
The pond is cleaned by aquatic plants on the banks, so it does not need chemicals or chlorine, which is advantageous for allergy sufferers. The offer at the natural swimming pond is rounded off by a building with changing rooms and sanitary facilities as well as the bar with sun terrace. The view on the mountains of the Valle di Landro is stunning. Not far from the outdoor pool there is a local recreation area with a large playground with swings, sandpits, play equipment and a fitness trail: The place is called "Grieswaldile" (Waldile, in German dialect, means small forest).
