Every year in June, the traditional Kastelruther Spatzen Open Air takes place at the Alpe di Siusi Cable Car in Siusi allo Sciliar. After countless concerts taking them through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, South Tyrol's most successful folk music group also returns home to perform. Celebrating with the songs of the music group around Norbert Rier is a tradition. Ticket reservations start in February and can only be made in writing: info@musicpromotion.it.

The event takes place in all weather conditions. The second event, the Kastelruther Spatzen Fest, has been transforming the high plateau into a festival site in October for four decades: the 40th anniversary will take place in 2026! It is held three kilometres away from the Open Air festival grounds: in Castelrotto, the home of the band and location of the "Kastelruther Spatzen" folk music museum. An enormous marquee is set up in the first half of October to celebrate traditional morning gatherings, autograph sessions and wonderful evenings with the band for three days.

Ticket pre-sales start in June. All this is surrounded by the unique backdrop of the Dolomites, which are so often sung about by the "Spatzen". The Kastelruther Spatzen festivals are now rounded off by a third event: the Christmas concert in the Telfen tennis hall in December. It takes place as part of the Castelrotto Mountain Christmas a few days before Christmas.
