The wine village of San Paolo invites you in the Advent period to the largest Nativity Scene Exhibition throughout South Tyrol
Like every year in Christmas time, the wine village of San Paolo, a locality that belongs to Appiano near Bolzano, invites you to the largest Nativity Scene Exhibition throughout South Tyrol. More than 100 Christmas cribs appear in the windows, bays and niches of the historical alleys between the feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 and Christmas Eve on December 24.
Particularly in the evening the village appears to be really atmospheric. The idyllic silhouette of San Paolo and the huge Christmas tree in front of the church, due to its size known as "Dome in the Countryside", spread a fairytale-like Christmas atmosphere. A varied entertainment programme, made of wooden stands, live concerts, a Living Nativity Scene and the Krampus run conclude the offer of this magical event. The Advent in Appiano is completed by "Wine Meets Christmas: An Artful Journey through Girlan" and the "LichterWeihnacht" Christmas Market in San Michele.
