The wine village of Ora invites you to the traditional Altmauerfest with a colourful mix of entertainment at the beginning of summer
The village centre of Ora (Auer) with its winding alleys and venerable houses is the location of the famous Altmauerfest. Already long earmarked by locals and guests who know it, it offers a special experience in the south of South Tyrol. It is a festival for connoisseurs and for all those who like to party. In the courtyards and public squares, traditional desserts, hearty dishes and, of course, the best South Tyrolean wine are on offer, because here are the vineyards of the Wine Road.
Live bands and DJs are responsible for the music programme, resulting in a colourful mix of locals and guests, young and old, families and groups of friends.
The three-day festival between the end of May and the beginning of June starts with the Opening Night and the tapping of a barrel, followed the next day by the parade and the "Aperitivo Lungo". The last day is dedicated to families: A Fun & Play Area will be set up and a lottery is offered. The Altmauerfest in Ora takes place every two years, the next time in 2025.
