Schlegl-Almrausch 3D Archery Course

On the way from Laces to the Tarres Mountain Hut you can experience two archery courses, at 1,000 and 2,000 m a.s.l

Only the Val Venosta valley has three archery courses to offer in South Tyrol: the one in the Talai Forest in San Valentino alla Muta and the Schlegl-Almrausch 3D course, which actually consists of two courses, each with 28 3D targets set according to IFAA. One course with two courses? Yes, because the 4 km long Schlegl Archery Course is located at around 1,000 m a.s.l. at the valley station of the Malga Tarres Chairlift in Tarres, a component locality of Laces.

The second course, called Almrausch, is located at the top station of the lift, at 2,000 m a.s.l. The one at the valley station is ideal for getting to know the nature around Tarces: The Schlegl Archery Course, the "course of four faces", first leads through a forest area, then through a moss forest, continuing through interesting ferny areas and at the end across a slope. The Almrausch Archery Course at the Tarres Alp awaits you with a magnificent view on the valley and the surrounding peaks. It is the perfect end for a day in the mountains before you take the chairlift back down to the valley. If you prefer to do everything on foot, there's also a hike to the Alpe di Tarres hut.
