The incomparable surroundings of Appiano Castle serve as the backdrop for one of the archery courses in South Tyrol

The mighty walls of Appiano Castle, built between 1125 and 1130 above Missiano (Missian) in the castle region of Appiano, and the medieval - and for some years now newly discovered - discipline of archery: an ideal combination. The Appiano Castle Archery Course offers 28 3D figures and is suitable for children from the age of 6. It can be reached in a hike of about half an hour from Missiano, a district of Appiano (Eppan), or by taking the castle shuttle. Furthermore, the castle is located along the route of the famous Three Castles Walk.
With the first warm days of spring, the castle and the archery course in the neighbouring forest opens its doors and keeps them open until late autumn. For the short round you need about 1.5 hours, for the long one 3 hours. Not everyone in the group wants to do archery? How about a relaxing break in the sun in the castle tavern or a guided tour through the castle chapel, called the "Sistine Chapel of the Alps", which houses a wonderful fresco cycle. Have fun!
