This short autumn walk takes us from Millan via Meluno (Mellaun) to Sant’Andrea (St. Andrä)

In late autumn we recommend you to start this walk around midday, as it is the time when the sun-rays warm the slopes underneath the Plose mountain. In the quarter of Millan, in the town of Bressanone, at the modern church dedicated to S. Freinademetz, our walk starts. First we proceed to the church Maria am Sand. After a short visit to this pilgrimage church, the real ascent starts.
Following the path no. 7 we walk to Riffnol. Via a bridge we continue through the dark forest and proceed across the meadows until we reach the mountain hamlet of Meluno. This is where we follow the signpost no. 12 to S. Andrea, the largest settlement on the slope at the foot of Mt. Plose.
From the village with the beautiful St. Andreas Church we proceed on the path no. 4 to Mairdorf, and via the path 4A across the autumnal broad-leaf forest back down to Millan (Milland).
