Hike on the Nature Trail of Campo Tures

The Nature Trail (Tauferer Naturlehrpfad) was constructed in 2004 with intent to understand and experience the Tures and Aurina Valleys with all senses. The symbol at the wayside is an orange squirrel which leads you through the trail. Also info panels line the path which give information about the local flora and fauna. Touching, exploring, reminding and thinking are the disciplines which you can train along the trail. We start at the Town Hall Square of Campo Tures (Sand in Taufers) and walk towards north. After 50 m we turn right and cross the river.

Now we continue along the river until we reach the "Burgpromenade" (Castle Promenade). The path leads now past the castle towards north-east uphill the gravel road. From here we enjoy an amazing view on the Tures and Aurina Valleys for about 45 minutes.

Then the path leads again downhill to the river. On the right side of the river we walk further until the nature swimming pool Cascade. Either you take a rest here or you walk cross-country until the fountain on the Town Hall Square, the starting point of our excursion to nature. The nature trail leads past Castel Tures (Burg Taufers) which is well-worth a visit!
