A small round trip in search of sun and the first heralds of spring along the Dürer Path - "Dürerweg" in German, "Sentiero del Dürer" in Italian - between Laghetti (Laag) and Pochi near Salorno. March is the right month for our walking tour in the South Tyrolean Bassa Atesina, up to the vineyards of Pochi (Buchholz). Starting point is the village centre of Laghetti, south of Egna.
We follow the marker "Dürerweg" towards Pochi which proceeds along an asphalt path first and then turns into a forest road. It is said, that along this route Albrecht Dürer walked during his trip to Italy. The path leads us into a valley to the Roman Bridge and then uphill to the vineyards of Pochi. Heather, liverleafs and spring snowflakes announce the awakening of nature.
After a rest at the "Perkeo’s Speckstube" tavern in Pochi we walk past the church and take the path no. 3a which proceeds down to the valley again. Between the forest and orchards we come back to Laghetti, our starting point. In March, this trail is sunny from noon on.
