Hiking across meadows and chestnut orchards at the foot of Mount Sciliar along the so-called “Oachner Höfeweg” (Aica di Fiè Farm Trail)

The "Oachner Höfeweg" (literally "farm trail of Aica di Fié" in South Tyrolean dialect) starts in the locality of Presule (Prösels) and runs on some old so-called "Kirchsteige" (church trails), which cross a beautiful rural landscape and pass some very old farms. Some of the highlights of the "Oachner Höfeweg" are a rope bridge near the Finger Farm and many view points with nice benches to rest.
The ideal starting point for a hiking tour on the "Oachner Höfeweg" is Presule Castle. From there, we follow the right signposts until we reach the small Church of St. Catherine. Our tour, which is also marked on our map, takes about 90 minutes (one way). However, you can hike for up to five hours and start, end or shorten the "Oachner Höfeweg" at many points on the trail.
Some of the farms on the trail offer very typical South Tyrolean dishes. Inform yourself on their opening times at the tourist board and don't miss this great opportunity!
