At the beginning of April the area of Merano is in full bloom: There’s nothing better than to explore this region by bicycle now

On the Val Venosta Cycle Path we start at Rio Molino di Lagundo and cycle up to Rablà, where we branch off to the Via Cutraun road to pass the state road and proceed towards Parcines. The route consistently proceeds through blooming apple orchards here. In Parcines village we branch off to the Via Vertigen road and then to the Parcines Waalweg path, which we follow for about 400 m (no asphalt). Especially at the bridge it's time to get off the bike and to wheel. Top priority here - slow!
The again asphalted small road leads us to Plars di Sopra with the beautiful St. Ulrich Church and then past Plars Castle to the old country road which proceeds towards the village of Lagundo. Always in an easterly direction we cycle towards Merano until the district of Quarazze. Via the Laurin and Weingartner roads we come back to Lagundo.
