The Winter Music Festival takes place in the snow: The natural stage is the Val Gardena Ski Resort in the heart of the Dolomites
In the second half of March, the Val Gardena Skiing Area becomes a concert stage when rock music is played in the mountain huts, pubs and après-ski bars. Not just any music, but the best live music surrounded by the white of the slopes, the icy grey of the Dolomites and the blue of the Val Gardena sky. The Winter Music Festival rings in the popular spring skiing, as the last weeks of the winter season are called here in the heart of the famous Sella Ronda.
For a whole eight days, bands such as The Killbilly's, The Giggers, the Spolpo Blues Band and well-known names such as Melissa Naschenweng stir up the atmosphere around Selva Gardena. On the last day of the festival, skiing then replaces rock music: The Rock the Dolomites Festival ends and the Südtirol Gardenissima, the longest giant slalom in the world, begins.
