Winter Family Vacation

Thanks to its varied offer of outdoor activities and ski slopes, South Tyrol is a real winter paradise. Almost all skiing areas provide ski courses for kids or ski kindergarten with animation for kids. As far as the equipment is concerned, we recommend you to rent it on site at the local ski rental service, as kids grow very fast and within a short period the purchased equipment will be too small. By the way: On the slopes in South Tyrol, minors under 18 are required to wear helmets!

Of course there are also winter holidays off the slopes. Enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage together with your beloved ones, build a snowman or try ice skating. Also during special events - such as the Merano and the Bolzano Christmas Market - you can find one.

Also tobogganing is a common activity for family winter holidays. The ascent can be done by foot or - if available - by cable car. And maybe you will get a hot chocolate as a reward in one of the cosy mountain huts which can be found along the winter hiking paths and in the skiing areas?
