WoodyWalk on Mt. Plose

The well-known WoodyWalk near Bressanone is a panoramic path with a magnificent view on the Dolomites, also suitable for prams

An enjoyable trail for the whole family leads from the mountain station of the Plose Cable Car at 2,050 m a.s.l. to the Rossalm Mountain Hut, covering about 160 metres in altitude in one hour. The path high above the Valle Isarco valley corresponds to the 1st section of the Dolomites Panorama Trail. After the first section of the WoodyWalk, there are two options for continuing the hike: on the upper trail (no. 17A) to the Rossalm Mountain Hut with its petting zoo, or on the lower trail, which is easier to walk and suitable for prams, to a chapel and a forest path (no. 17).

Various stations along the 2.5 km long trail are particularly inspiring for children: forest telephone, bell lake, climbing tree, the Kneipp facility with giant loungers, a drinking fountain and a mill wheel are just some of the highlights. The "Don't touch the ground trail" is also interesting - who can do it? Breathtaking views on the Odle Group and the Putia Group are included.

The WoodyWalk takes you also to the Lorggen Circular Trail - or how about a ride with the new Plosebob? To come back down to the valley to Sant'Andrea (St. Andrä) above Bressanone, you can either take the cable car or the mountain carts, small vehicles with three wheels.
