Rope bridges and sky ladders await brave visitors in the Val Senales valley at the foot of the waterfall of the Rio di Cortesano

Some years ago, a via ferrata and an adventure trail were opened in the Alpin Arena Senales, which complement each other. The Larix Via Ferrata at the foot of the Kurzrasbach-Wasserfall, the Rio di Cortesano Waterfall, is a highlight for families with older and adult children who already have experience on the mountain. Rope bridges, sky ladders and a rope slide make hiking an experience, plus sometimes challenging climbing passages.
The parallel running Alpine Trail is a hiking trail. It is much more comfortable and easier, and at several points the two cross, so that everyone can choose their variant. The Larix Via Ferrata then ends above the Teufelsegg Hut and leads via the Alpine Trail back to the starting point behind the Roter Kofel Chairlift. Via ferrata equipment is necessary and can be rented in Maso Corto.
Duration: approx. 3.5 hours. Parallel to the opening, the now restored historic Untere Berg Waal was also reopened, one of the old irrigation channels that run through the Val Venosta valley and can now be experienced in the popular channel hikes.
