In the clear mountain air on Mt. Gitschberg, the Sun Park, a family paradise, opens its doors in the summer months

Where in winter the Gitschberg Jochtal Skiing Area features magnificent pistes above Rio Pusteria and Maranza, the Gitschberg Sun Park or Sonnenpark Gitschberg opens its doors in summer. It is located at the mountain station of the Nesselbahn cable car at 2,018 metres a.s.l., right next to the Nesselhütte mountain hut. Children of all ages romp around here between the sun telephone and the giant slide, the sun throne and the climbing igloo. Other fun stations such as the human sundial and the binoculars, with which you can explore the mountain world, are waiting for you.
From the Nesselhütte hut, the route continues to the Gitschhütte hut, a leisurely 20-minute walk away. There are wooden animals along the hiking trail, and at the Gitschhütte at 2,210 metres a.s.l., a giant trampoline and a large playground reward the little ones for the many steps they have taken to get here. Adults, on the other hand, can look forward to cool drinks and delicious dishes and sweets from South Tyrolean cuisine.
Valles, the second village in the Gitschberg Jochtal ski and holiday area, also has its own adventure park: the Jochtal Adventure Park which leads to the Steinermandl panorama platform.
