A total of three circular paths in Prato allo Stelvio invite children to observe, experiment and feel in nature
The Val Venosta in the west of South Tyrol offers numerous family-friendly hiking trails: One of them is located in Prato allo Stelvio, at the entrance to one of the largest nature reserves in Europe, the Stelvio National Park. The Arena di Prato Nature Trail shows on three circular paths with a total length of 4.8 km the wild river landscape at the Rio Solda and the dry meadow of the Arena di Prato, a biotope and one of the last floodplain landscapes in South Tyrol.
9 interactive stations have been set up along the three paths, which can be walked individually or combined with each other. The path, which is suitable for prams, can be done in about 1.5 hours (all three paths together, 21 m in altitude) and starts at the forest nursery near the adventure pool. There are also access points at the fishing ponds and below the sports zone of Prato.
Then it leads through the pine forest to the pond. Above all, awareness of the environment should be promoted here. Again and again there is something to discover: water games, a barefoot path - or try "Bachrumpeln". What is that? Discover it! If you are interested in further details on the subject of water, then the aquaprad National Park House awaits you.
