The Taser Mountain Hut - "Taser Alm" in German, "Malga Taser" in Italian - is an ideal place for a family adventure trip. Located at 1,450 m a.s.l., at the mountain station you will look over the chapel, the restaurant and the accommodation facilities situated between woods and meadows. The numerous paths, on which you can explore Montescena, start directly at the hut.
Children's hearts leap for joy at the adventure hut with its large outdoor playground, the archery range and a small alpine zoo. To recover from the adventure we recommend a stop at the restaurant with its traditional cuisine and its comfortable indoor and outdoor ambience.
The dishes are prepared with ingredients produced on the farm, as fresh milk and beef. As a light meal we recommend a glass of wine with speck or an apple strudel with an Italian Cappuccino. And how to reach it? The hut can be comfortably reached by cable car. The hike along the Scena Waalweg path leads to its valley station, whereas the Taser High Route leads past the hut itself.

The opening hours refer to the ones of the cable car, which takes you to the Taser Hut: It operates every half hour and full hour. The Taser Cable Car and the Taser Mountain Hut stay open every day in summer and in autumn, both remain closed in the Advent period (early December to Christmas) and in winter (early January to early April).
Summer season start 2025 on April 5, winter season start 2025/2026 after Christmas.
The mountain restaurant stays open from Saturday to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday rest days. It offers warm dishes from noon time to 2.30 pm, and has an afternoon menu with cold dishes and home-made cakes from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
