Three Peaks Visitor Centre

The visitor centre is located at the former Grand Hotel in Dobbiaco and is a great place for children to discover nature

The Three Peaks or Tre Cime Visitor Centre not only deals with the Three Peaks Nature Park but also with the eastern part of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park: Lake Dobbiaco is located exactly on the border of these two protected areas. Information about the natural and cultural landscape and the geology of the Sesto Dolomites is offered, furthermore you'll receive historic details about the front during the cruel Mountain Warfare, the beginnings of tourism in the valley and of mountaineering in the stunning Dolomites, and the World Heritage site of the Dolomites.

Daksy's Kids' Workshop, where children may smell and feel nature, completes the experience at the visitor centre. Outside, there are two further offers: In the forest behind the building the Wood Wonder World with a theme trail, the tree village and a Celtic tree horoscope is located. Also the Show Corridor in the District Heating Plant of Dobbiaco-San Candido is connected to the nearby visitor centre, where young and old can learn more about the subject of wood.
