The culturamartell National Park House, or Nationalparkhaus culturamartell, is located in Martello, a side valley of the Val Venosta in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. This visitor centre has also chosen a special topic for its permanent exhibition: the mountain farming cultural landscape and the life of the mountain farmers as self supporters and over the centuries. This valley is particularly marked by mountain farming with all its peculiarities. The area was already used in the most different ways in the Bronze Age, as shown by a bronze full-handled dagger, which was found in the Val Martello valley and is exhibited in the culturamartell National Park House.
Audio and video installations about traditions and beliefs as well as the special exhibition "Larches - alpine Child of Light", dedicated to the larch tree, the second-most ubiquitous conifer found in South Tyrol, complete the offer of this modern museum of local history in Transacqua. Some of the most important theme trails in the national park are located right here, including the Alpine Pasture Tour Martello, the Plima Gorge Trail and the South Tyrolean Strawberry Trail.
