The passionate collector Norbert Schuster from the Val Venosta valley has made it his business to collect testimonies of everyday, often hard life of farmers and other locals. He collected hundreds of utensils and tools from ancient times for four decades.
Since 2004, they have found a new home in the barn of the parsonage in Laudes or Laatsch, a district of the municipality of Malles. Here the interesting Laudes Local Museum - "Heimatmuseum Laatsch" in German, "Museo Locale di Laudes" in Italian - was opened, which is led by the local museum association. It invites to take a look at the way of life, customs, traditions and work in the Val Venosta valley of the past decades and centuries.
And how to reach the Laudes Local Museum? It is located near the Laudes Parish Church, parking spaces can be found at the edge of the village. Moreover the bus 279 runs between Malles and Laudes. Also the Hours' Trail to the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Maria leads past here.
