A small but captivating Local Museum awaits you in the barn of the rectory in Laudes in the Val Venosta valley. Here, you can delve into the everyday lives of your ancestors.
Passionate collector Norbert Schuster spent over four decades gathering countless artefacts of rural life in the Val Venosta valley. His collection comprises hundreds of everyday objects and tools from bygone eras. Since 2004, this impressive collection has found its home at the Laudes Local Museum (Heimatmuseum Laatsch), housed in the granary of the rectory.
The local museum association manages the museum, offering you a glimpse into the lifestyles, customs, traditions, and working world of the Val Venosta over the past centuries.
How to get there: The museum is located very close to the parish church of Laudes. Parking is available on the edge of the village. The number 279 bus route operates between Malles and Laudes. The Hours' Trail, which runs between Laudes and Monte Maria on its second stage, also passes right by the museum. It's well worth a visit!
