Experience contemporary art in several exhibitions under Egna’s historic arcades
Image gallery: Art Forum Bassa Atesina
Beneath the medieval arcades of Egna, historic architecture meets modern art. Housed in arcade building number 26 is the Art Forum Bassa Atesina (Kunstforum Bassa Atesina, or Kunstforum Unterland), also known as Comunità Comprensoriale Oltradige Bassa Atesina, which hosts annually changing exhibitions showcasing regional and international artists.
Here, artists and art enthusiasts connect, and local art finds a dedicated platform. Founded in 1997, the Art Forum provides contemporary artists with an exhibition space, making their work accessible to a wider audience. Each year, six artists are selected for solo exhibitions in Egna.
These presentations invite visitors to engage with current art trends and develop a keener eye for contemporary art. The Art Forum Bassa Atesina's programme is further enhanced by readings, book presentations, and diverse discussion panels.
How to get there: The Art Forum is located directly under the Arcades of Egna. A bus stop (e.g., line 120 from Bolzano) and parking are available at the edge of the town centre.
