ar/ge Kunst stands for "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunst" - Association for Art - and is located in the Via Museo road in the Old Town of Bolzano, just a short walk from the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. In its exhibition spaces, it presents contemporary art in its various forms.
Architecture, design, performance, film, and regional, national, as well as international art projects are on display here. ar/ge Kunst critically examines the role of art in its social and political context. It also offers workshops, artist residencies, lectures, and performances, creating a vibrant meeting place for art enthusiasts. Founded in 1985 as a private art association, ar/ge Kunst has made a name for itself and continuously presents new artistic positions.
With "metro", an additional presentation platform was recently launched. It promotes the development of a free cultural network beyond established venues - a highly topical theme!
How to get there: ar/ge Kunst is located at in the Via Museo road no. 29. Various bus routes stop on the nearby Via Cassa di Risparmio road.

ar/ge Kunst is open only within the duration of the respective exhibition, closed on public holidays:
* "À Jour" from Dec 6, 2024, to Feb 15, 2024, the first institutional exhibition of the work of Clemen Parrocchetti (Milan 1923-2016), a rebellious and non-conformist artist. She experienced the events of 1968 as a watershed moment of radical creative and political transformation.
* "Pepper and Olives. On countersurveillance" from the 1st of March to May 10, 2025, traces some of artist Leander Schwazer’s and Artists + Allies x Hebron’s (AAH) reflections on the theme of counter-surveillance. Curated by Francesca Verga and Zasha Colah. Inauguration on February 28.
