Val Pusteria Llamas

Five llamas await you at the Totmoser Llama Farm for a very special hike to one of the surrounding alpine pastures

Andean feeling with llama trekking is available in several places in South Tyrol, such as at the Rossy Park on Mt. Cavallo or at the Kaserhof farm on the Renon - and now also in the Val Pusteria, where five llamas from the "Val Pusteria Llamas" are waiting for small and large companions. The friendly animals can be found in Riva di Sotto di Monguelfo and invite you to an unforgettable experience.

The tour is suitable for everyone and starts with a short introduction to the world of llamas, their husbandry, habits and special features. The llama is a camel species and comes from the guanaco. In the Andes, llamas are kept as domestic and farm animals: They are tough and persistent, and have a good-natured gentle character. After the briefing, the animals are loaded with the backpacks according to an old Inca loading technique.

In order to get to know the area, you can take part in a taster tour that takes 1.5 hours from the Mudlerhof inn to the surrounding area. The half-day tour to one of the beautiful alpine pastures around Tesido is somewhat longer, namely 3 hours (maximum altitude difference: approx. 500 m). A voucher for such a special hike is an ideal surprise!
